Since the dawn of time, Australia and New Zealand have been waging war against each other on the sporting fields, with the annual Trans Tasman test series adding to the history of the respective nations.
This year’s installment is sure to be an explosive affair, with the event boasting added impetus this year when the traditional rivals go head-to-head across all age levels at the same time.
The Under-18, Development - which comprises three under-25 and two over-age players, and the Senior team will continue lawn bowls fiercest rivalry at Howick Bowling Club in Auckland, New Zealand in March.
Australia currently possess the men’s, women's and overall trophies in the senior event, the Under-18's continued their long standing dominance at the Junior level, while New Zealand have secured the Development trophy for the past two years, so there will be more than just national pride on the line when they go toe-to-toe over seven action pack days.
Featuring singles, pairs, triples and fours for both men and women, the 2013 Trans Tasman is sure to be hotly contested.
